My name is Flik and I am a fully qualified professional body piercer and proud associate member of the British Body Piercing Association (BBPA).  I have hundreds of successful procedures under my belt covering virtually every piercing from the waist up.  I pride myself on the cleanliness and sterility of my studio and equipment.  Hygiene to me is paramount.  All my equipment is autoclaved every morning without fail and also between procedures.  I use only single use, pre packed, sterile hollow point needles for piercing my clients.  This ensures the highest standard of sterility possible.  I also use the "no touch" technique when piercing - this means that at no point during your procedure will your skin come into contact with mine. 

The initial jewellery that I use is the highest quality plain polished titanium.  I use this in order to prevent infection and the onset of nickel allergy.

I endeavour to work with my clients to find the piercing and placement that suits them best.  Sometimes a client will come to me with a very different idea and I work with them to achieve the result they are looking for.  It is my belief that a piercing should enhance a person's appearance rather than inhibit it.

If you're wondering how I got into piercing it's something that I have always been facinated with not just as a process but as an art form.  The modified body can be a beautiful body.  I started out as a sports massage therapist and personal trainer.  This qualification gave me the foundation of a superb knowledge of anatomy and physiology.  However, this was just not the industry for me so I decided to retrain as a professional piercer and as they say, the rest is history.

In Decenber 2008 I opened the Hook & Eye Professional Body Piercing Studio in the market town of Witney because I myself was fed up with having to travel to either Swindon or Oxford to get piercings or body jewellery.  I also wanted to give people a studio dedicated to the practice of body piercing and the sale of decent body jewellery at reasonable prices.  To this end I now have an extensive range of body jewellery and offer an ordering service so if there is something you have your heart set on that I don't have, I will do my best to get hold of it for you.  As a professional piercer I enjoy helping people and am happy to give free advice and free studio time.

On the 1 November 2010 I moved the studio to much larger premises so that I can bring a bespoke tattoist into Hook and Eye to complete the service that we can offier.  This was something I always wanted to do so it's a great thrill to have Matt on board.

Taking it to the next level!  I am always looking to bring my clients new procedures and techniques which offer greater choice and flexibility.  To this effect I have just completed more professional training and am qualified in the staple bar piercing technique.  This is a different type of surface piercing which can offer a client greater precision and a better longer lasting result than a standard PTFE bar.  Again, if you're interested in something different from the run of the mill piercing, come in and see me for more information.
